E-Fax or Fax?

There are several advantages to using an e-fax service and really only one small disadvantage I can think of.


Advantages


  1. Receive or send faxes wherever you have web access.
  2. Easily file faxes on your own computer & forward easily via e-mail.
  3. Save clients & potential customers long-distance charges by acquiring a toll-free number for them to fax to if applicable.
  4. Save on long-distance charges if applicable.
  5. E-fax services cost less than fax lines.
  6. No fax machine maintenance, toner, etc.
  7. No busy signal for incoming faxes.
  8. Travelers do not need to communicate with office regarding faxes.


Disadvantage


  1. Outbound faxes need to be in an electronic format; not a hard copy.


Say goodbye to the disadvantage. Buy a scanner. Not only will you have a scanner for faxing but scanners are great for several other reasons including copying (just scan to your computer & print), saving photos on your computer, saving receipts electronically & e-mailing hard copy to people without fax machines to name a few. Scanners are inexpensive and require no maintenance. It is possible to buy a basic color scanner for less than $50.00. If you are typically faxing the same forms just save them on your computer and you will not need to scan them each time.


The advantages are numerous & inexpensive. There are e-fax services with a toll-free number starting at $7.95 per month. This is much cheaper than a phone line from you local carrier and there are no long distance charges associated. Just do a search for e-fax in your favorite Internet search engine to get started.
