There are several advantages to using an e-fax service and really only one small disadvantage I can think of.
Advantages
Disadvantage
Say goodbye to the disadvantage. Buy a scanner. Not only will you have a scanner for faxing but scanners are great for several other reasons including copying (just scan to your computer & print), saving photos on your computer, saving receipts electronically & e-mailing hard copy to people without fax machines to name a few. Scanners are inexpensive and require no maintenance. It is possible to buy a basic color scanner for less than $50.00. If you are typically faxing the same forms just save them on your computer and you will not need to scan them each time.
The advantages are numerous & inexpensive. There are e-fax services with a toll-free number starting at $7.95 per month. This is much cheaper than a phone line from you local carrier and there are no long distance charges associated. Just do a search for e-fax in your favorite Internet search engine to get started. Happy communications!
