Okay, don't spam. That means, only send information to people who have specifically asked for it.
The next tip involves the actual content of your email ad. Because of all the spam filters that are placed on most commercial email account, you have to be very careful about the words that you use in your email ads. Words like "money" and "guarantee" and "earn" are big no-nos. There are many spam checkers online that you can use that are free. They will give your emails a spam score. Under 2, you're fine. From 2 to 5 you're on the borderline and over 5, your message is probably going to be flagged as spam.
The next tip involves the actual email account that you use to do your marketing with. Lots of people think that this doesn't matter. The truth is, it matters a great deal. If you are using a free email account such as AOL, Hotmail, Yahoo, or whatever it is you're using, while your emails may get delivered to other people, there is no guarantee that their return emails to you are going to get through.
What's that you say? Return emails? Um, yeah. You know, the ones that potential customers send to you asking you questions about your product or service? With the free email accounts, oh yeah, and free is another word you can't use in email advertising, where was I? Oh yes, with free email accounts, because of the spam filters that the ISPs put on them to protect you from spam, a lot of your email, especially the emails that you want, won't get delivered. This could mean the difference between making and losing a sale. So get yourself a professional email account so you know you're going to get your emails delivered.
